The Opportunity
A growing UK insurance broker is looking to appoint a Head of Placement into a strategically important position supporting its commercial and corporate divisions nationally.
This is a senior market-facing role focused on insurer engagement, placement strategy, and helping regional teams maximise trading opportunities across a broad portfolio of business.
The successful individual will work closely with leadership and broking teams across the UK, helping to drive market relationships, support complex placements, and ensure the business is well-positioned with insurer partners as it continues to grow.
The role offers significant visibility, autonomy, and long-term career potential within an expanding business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement placement strategy across UK teams
- Manage and strengthen insurer and market relationships
- Support branches and broking teams on placement solutions and trading opportunities
- Work alongside leadership on strategic growth initiatives
- Attend insurer meetings and market engagement activity
- Drive collaboration across regional teams and business units
- Provide insight into market appetite, trading strategy, and insurer partnerships
- Help improve consistency and effectiveness across placement activity nationally
About You
- Previous placement experience within a commercial or corporate insurance broker
- Strong insurer market knowledge and trading relationships
- Commercially minded with strong stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working across regional teams and senior leadership groups
- Able to influence, collaborate, and drive initiatives forward
- Strong communication and relationship-building capability
