We're working with a successful independent financial planning firm in Solihull that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join its growing technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to join a collaborative business where you'll work closely with Financial Planners, supporting complex client cases and delivering high-quality technical advice across pensions, investments, trusts and inheritance tax planning.
The firm offers a flexible hybrid working approach and is looking for someone who can bring strong technical knowledge, particularly around pensions and more complex planning areas.
The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting Advisers throughout the financial planning process, including:
- Preparing detailed suitability reports and recommendations
- Conducting technical research to support client advice
- Supporting complex pension cases, including NHS pension knowledge where possible
- Assisting with inheritance tax planning, including valuations and estate planning considerations
- Researching and analysing investment, pension and protection solutions
- Preparing cashflow modelling and supporting retirement planning
- Working closely with Financial Planners to deliver high-quality client outcomes
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring work is completed in line with FCA requirements
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Significant experience as a Paraplanner within an independent financial planning or wealth management firm
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and retirement planning
- Experience supporting complex cases, including trusts, bonds or inheritance tax planning
- Excellent report writing and research skills
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail
- Ideally working towards or holding level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (although relevant technical experience will also be considered)
