The sky’s the limit for Team IDEX!

22 Sep 2017

IDEX are taking part in the Pink Skydive for Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Six fearless members of IDEX Consulting are taking the plunge from 13,000ft for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB) Charity’s Breast Cancer Appeal on Saturday 28th November 2017.

The daring six includes: Richard Martin (Regional Manager) Adam Burns (Business Manager) Lisa Williams (Consultant) Grace Garrett (Business Researcher) Mica Warner (Marketing Executive) and Lewis Chastell. The teams are hoping to raise £1,800 for equipment to allow patients with left-sided breast cancer to have Deep Inspiration Breath Hold treatment (DIBH) which prevents damage to the heart during radiotherapy.  This DIBH treatment is only available in a few NHS hospitals and private hospitals around the UK, and must become a necessity in hospitals, to ensure that they can cure the cancer, but also, protect the heart.

Richard Martin says “I have always fancied doing a skydive, but it’s an honour to do it while raising money for such a good cause. Having experienced the excellent work QEHB do, I’m keen to raise as much as possible for the life-saving equipment.”
