Associate / Senior Associate - Corporate (4-6 PQE)

Job description

A leading London corporate practice is seeking an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate (4-6 years' PQE) to join its highly regarded Corporate team.

This is an opportunity to work within a market-leading practice recognised for advising on both domestic and cross-border transactions. The team acts for a diverse client base, ranging from high-growth technology businesses and founder-led companies to established corporates, financial sponsors and management teams on complex transactional matters.

The practice is particularly well known for its expertise across the technology, media, retail & consumer, insurance and financial services sectors, advising a number of well-known brands and businesses on strategic corporate transactions.

The Opportunity

You will work on a broad range of corporate matters, with a strong emphasis on private M&A transactions, while also gaining exposure to wider corporate advisory work. The role offers significant client contact, responsibility from the outset and the opportunity to contribute actively to business development initiatives.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative and supportive team that combines high-quality work with a genuinely collegiate culture, providing excellent prospects for career progression.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have:

  • 4-6 years' post-qualification experience gained within a recognised corporate practice.
  • Strong experience advising on M&A and corporate transactions.
  • Excellent technical legal skills combined with sound commercial judgment.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to business development and networking.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with an appreciation of commercial and financial considerations.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers, or a desire to develop these skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to an inclusive team culture.
