A well known Insurer have made available a Business Development Executive position within their company which will be focussed on commercial property business.

The job holder will increase market share and market awareness of products through allocated Law firms, banks, funds and receivers. The candidate is expected to drive revenue growth while developing existing relationships and grow new relationships with key players in agreed business territories to build company profile.

Key duties:

  • Participate in developing and delivering Group strategic goals for the business's main product
  • Drive the implementation of these strategies to derive greater focus and profitability from existing and non existing relationships
  • Successfully create and execute selling strategies that will result in the delivery of sales objectives for products within agreed target markets
  • Take responsibility for achieving revenue and profitability targets
  • Develop and execute annual sales business plans and budgets
  • Develop and maintain a good business relationship with existing and prospective clients
  • Identify and understand risks that threaten the achievement of business objectives and continue to work with appropriate internal areas to develop systems, people, processes and controls to manage these risks
  • Work closely with other internal departments to ensure the needs of the client is fulfilled in a timely manner and any issues resolved
  • Mentor members of the sales and underwriting teams on sales techniques, market conditions, competitors, relationship management and develop their sales and general proficiency
  • Provide regular reports to CEO/Board on progress against sales targets and analysis of market in terms of products and competitors

The successful candidate:

  • An adept, ambitious, business minded professional, with an eye for new opportunities, sound commercial acumen and the competency to drive sales and increase revenue by developing new business opportunities
  • You can demonstrate a high achieving new business sales track record of selling services ideally to law firms, banks and/or property investment companies
  • Specific knowledge of the commercial property market is advantageous
  • Hugely attractive remuneration on offer for a candidate who is happy to be home based and travel extensively
