I'm partnered with a leading, global Insurer in their search for an established Business Development Manager in a home-based capacity to join their team (must be able to commute to London when required).

This role has a realistic OTE of £100k+ which is split across new business production and achieving KPI's plus an annual bonus based on business performance and renewal team growth.

You will manage a panel of mid-tier Brokers including Global, National and regional firms to identify, secure, and develop new business within the group income protection and Group life markets. You will be expected to develop high level relationships with potential corporate businesses, identifying viable propositions and delivery of significant deals.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate a strong consultative selling approach, ensuring the firms value proposition is the key driver of the sales process.

The role:

  • Build strong relationships within key EBC partners on panel at all levels of their business
  • Influence EBC/IFA decision-making through demonstrating a full working knowledge of firms products, services and technology, and a high-level knowledge of the market and competitor products
  • Actively promote firms products by demonstrating benefit to the intermediary
  • Form strong relationships with internal key stakeholders within the Underwriting, claims, marketing and existing business teams
  • To deliver on a range of business key performance indicators (KPIs) and run rates to meet API business targets
  • To ensure that the service/product sold is appropriate to the client's needs
