The UK commercial insurance market has seen significant reduction in market capacity and upwards pricing the first quarter of 2021. There are certainly very early green shoots starting to emerge, with some limited new capacity beginning to cautiously enter the market. Insurance Brokers must keep up with technical developments in the industry.

The ability of Brokers to differentiate from their competitors in the marketplace, by communicating a depth of knowledge of the risk exposure and being able to provide quality information on positive risk management and risk mitigation is absolutely crucial. Insurers are continuing to compete for risks which the broker has clearly articulated to be of high quality, proactively risk managed and historically profitable based on their claims experience.

Are you a Business Development Manager who has adapted these challenges?

We are working on behalf of a leading UK insurance broker who hare keen to recruit a talented Business Development Manager. You will be responsible for developing business across a wide range of industry sectors in the mid-market arena, providing expert risk management advice to key clients designing bespoke programmes. These clients enjoy a local relationship and respond well to a "personal touch" approach to insurance.

I am keen to hear from individuals with a proven track record in managing a successful portfolio of commercial insurance clients. You will be comfortable presenting to C-Suite level, articulating clear and concise risk management strategy and expertise.
