The role…
Creating and leading a specialist team to draft wills, trusts, LPA's and related work for our existing clients of over 40,000 and to deal with new clients generated from digital and other marketing campaigns.


Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Proactively lead and manage the private client legal services team
  • Develop, train and coach (including CPD) the team to maximise results, in line with and to exceed company expectations
  • Build business through positively managing professional relationships within their network of contacts, Financial Advisors and local leads provided via our contact centres
  • Advise around the implications of buying and selling trust and estate properties and transferring trust assets to advisers and clients
  • Advising on existing wills
  • Visit/call potential clients in their homes by appointment, undertaking a comprehensive fact find and matching a range of services to meet their needs, including Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Ensure Advisers maximise all lead opportunities through up-selling to achieve the highest possible value per sale
  • Ensure performance KPIs and targets are met by team members to achieve strong company results
  • As a subject matter expert (SME) in estate planning, you will support the delivery of strategic product, proposition, process and system developments, working with both internal stakeholders and third-party partners by providing technical support



You will have..

  • Extensive private client legal services experience
  • Entrepreneurial flair
  • Management experience preferred
  • Either legally qualified/registered and have or are working towards a significant estate planning qualification (e.g. STEP Certificate in trusts and estates)
  • Proven experience of managing and developing processes and procedures
  • IT skills including a good understanding of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems and estate planning systems/software
  • Confident, approachable and motivated
  • Highly organised and proactive with great attention to details
  • Fully compliant and able to work to set guidelines, including excellent time management skills
