A fast-growing and national IFA practice in Yorkshire, is searching for an experienced Pensions Consultant to join their growing team. Working in a home-based and client-facing capacity, you will take ownership of a portfolio of DB, DC and group pensions business, with the task of using technical expertise to retain, manage and develop the panel, whilst meeting revenue goals.

As part of this role, the successful applicant will be required to provide in-depth consultancy services around both pensions and employee benefits, with an emphasis on aiding in the development and acquisition of new business.


  • Develop and maintain existing client relationships, with the aim of providing a high level of service to ensure positive and mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Consult with existing and new clients on new products and services, using legislative and industry changes, to assist in growing the book of business
  • Build strong internal and external relationships
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of DB/DC/GP pensions and employee benefits, using CPD to obtain industry recognised qualifications and authorised status where required
  • Develop the opportunity for new business acquisition, participating in prospecting through networking and utilising internal contacts to obtain referrals from the wider IFA practice
  • Utilise the client support team to assist with scheme design, reporting and analysis; ensuring all scheme documentation is up to date to reflect legislative change and employer decisions

This opportunity would be well suited to a DC/GPP Pensions or Employee Benefits Consultant, who's interested in working with a growing IFA with strong prospects for career development. It would be desirable to have CF30 status and strong experience of working with SME-sized clients, but this is not essential.
