Employee Benefits Consultant

Are you interested in joining a global consulting firm in an employee benefits consulting capacity; consulting on group risk and health-care schemes amongst new and existing corporate-sized businesses?

IDEX Consulting are working with a market-leading firm, in the search for an experienced Risk and Health-care Benefits Consultant in Bristol. You will be responsible for managing and developing an existing portfolio of clients; providing advice and recommendations, whilst following up on leads to promote the proposition to new prospects, in a client-facing capacity.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an established, self-motivated, completer-finisher type individual to challenge their ability within a market-leading practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain excellent client communication to grow the opportunity for cross-selling of additional services across a complex risk and health-care employee benefits portfolio
• Identify and maximise new sales opportunities, ensuring appropriate steps are completed from inception through to negotiation, close, delivery and ongoing management
• Retain an existing base of corporate customers across the mid-sized corporate and global clients
• Working in a client facing capacity - influence business leadership to develop bespoke solutions across group risk and health-care benefits
• Strong technical understanding and competent in providing advice surrounding group risk (critical illness, income protection and life assurance) and health-care schemes

Candidate Profile

• Track record in consulting with large SME and corporate sized businesses, on market trends, group risk and health-care employee benefit schemes
• Ideally have undertaken recognised qualifications via the Chartered Insurance Institute; ideally GR1, IF7, or IF1 as a minimum
• High level of financial and commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Completer-finisher with an holistic consultancy approach and an ability to unearth client needs and consult to position bespoke benefit solutions to address
• Strong ability to network, manage existing relationships and take the lead with projects
• Strong industry knowledge and able to spot trends
