Job description
About the Role
- Negotiation and placement of construction and engineering treaties
- Work with client teams to drive the development of revenue
- Work with analytics colleagues to deliver financial/catastrophe modelling and advice to clients
- Leading/supporting responses to competitive tenders and complex, high value deals
- Facilitate relationships between clients, company and reinsurers
- Providing advice to clients and colleagues on treaty structures, available coverage and capacity, likely pricing, marketing and placement strategy
- Deliver analysis and research required to deliver market knowledge to clients and members of the global construction and engineering practice group
About you
We would like to invite candidates with previous experience from a range of backgrounds related to the construction and engineering business, such as:
- Construction and engineering insurance and/or reinsurance experience including knowledge of markets, market dynamics and contract wordings
- Insurance and/or reinsurance experience in other technical lines of business, and now keen to explore a new line of business
- Engineering experience in industry, and now looking to find a different challenge in a dynamic sales and service environment
- Degree education or similar
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, showing the ability (or potential ability) to present, influence, negotiate, and build relationships
