This is an exciting time to join one of the UK's leaving and rapidly growing IFA firms. They are currently expanding their marketing team and building their marketing approach to help the business grow. With a new team emerging, my client is looking for a Marketing Executive in Birmingham to help shape the future of this dynamic business by devising and implementing creative marketing ideas through to seeing the results, by working collaboratively across the business with teams of IFAs, Paraplanners and Administrators.

Role
This is a brand new role reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, in a newly forming team you will develop and deliver an events programme that meets the goals and KPIs of the overall company marketing strategy and plan. You will take the lead in in promoting, organising and delivering prospective and existing client events to support brand building, client acquisition and retention. You will evaluate the effectiveness of the events provide reports to demonstrate ROI. From time to time you may support on the development and delivery of other marketing initiatives and campaigns as required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning of the annual events programme and take full ownership of executing each event
  • Set up and maintain an events calendar
  • Scope event requirements and set project plan for event delivery within defined budget
  • Source venues and present options to key stakeholders
  • Liaise with stakeholders to gain input into event planning and keep informed and engaged
  • Support developing the content and event agenda and identifying presenters
  • Manage the marketing campaigns promoting the events
  • Develop and deliver all presentation material, communications working with agencies and wider team
  • Work across the team to maximise promotion of the events through other channels
  • Manage all logistics of the event through to completion
  • Ensure quick and timely follow-up post event providing evaluation and feedback
  • Make ongoing recommendations for further event improvement, development or expansion
  • From time to time support developing other marketing initiatives and campaigns as required
  • Ensure that all that all activities comply with regulatory compliance requirements and follow the Treating the Customers Fairly principles laid out by the FCA



To be successful you will need

  • General marketing experience
  • Ideally hands-on full events event management experience
  • Campaigns management experience across all marketing channels including digital, PR, direct mail, print
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills
  • Strong copy writing/editing skills
  • Agency management experience including writing briefs and managing and evaluating design ideas
  • Creative thinker able to come up with fresh and innovative ideas
  • Adobe creative Suite experience ideal but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and contribute in a team environment working collaboratively across the team to implement campaigns through all channels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage workloads
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures in a compliant manner
  • Attention to detail, results-driven with a motivation to see initiatives through to completion and report with MI
  • Loves events and willingness travel UK-wide with overnight stays
