My client provides financial planning and investment advice to high net worth families, with an exceptional reputation within their field. Professionalism, efficiency and trust with the clients and colleagues is paramount. They now have a vacancy for an experienced Financial Planner to join the forward thinking and dedicated team, this is a new role based in the Epsom office.

Role Profile

  • Create new business opportunities and win new clients through professional and client referrals
  • Meet with prospective clients who have been referred to you to explain the companies service and take them through their financial planning process
  • Work with excellent technical support team to produce clear, technically accurate, compliant and concise financial planning reports for clients, including high level financial plans based on their entire financial position, suitability reports and regular investment review reports
  • Keep up to date with technical and professional development
  • Attend functions and events to build professional relationships and promote the firm
  • Continually develop and keep updated technical knowledge and professional skills

Person Profile

  • In depth technical knowledge and understanding of all financial planning areas
  • Excellent compliance record with detailed understanding of the compliance requirements
  • Proven track record in a true fee based environment
  • Be able to apply own judgement and experience when making decisions or speaking to clients
  • A thorough understanding of client circumstances and how they can affect the advice given
  • Excellent questioning and listening skills particularly in uncovering clients' objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent communication and ability to build strong lasting relationships
  • Excellent presentation skills and highly effective negotiation skills
  • A desire to learn, improve and strive for perfection
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Polite, professional manner with colleagues and clients
  • Able to organise, prioritise, work under pressure and to deadlines, without close supervision
