Our client is a well-established financial planning firm based in City of London, who are award-winners in providing independent financial advice to ultra high-networth customers.

Role

As Financial Planning Manager, you will build develop trusted relationships with current and potential clients and be responsible for delivering financial planning and wealth management advice. You will work within the context of an agreed business plan and effectively lead a team of Advisers to achieve their personal and team targets.

You must be strategically aligned to the company's goals and objectives and be an ambassador for the company at all times, having a clear understanding of the strategic place in the advice market.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement and execute the annual business plan in line with the agreed individual targets
  • Build new client relationships and maintain and develop existing client relationships through effective ongoing service to help minimise attrition and to deliver new client instructions and client referrals as a result of satisfied clients
  • Achieve and maintain professional competence as defined within the company's professional standards framework
  • Strive for no complaints and where they are received ensure they are brought to a satisfactory resolution in a timely fashion
  • Manage existing client base and prospect resource on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure clients have the right asset allocation to achieve their financial objectives with the minimum level of risk
  • Ensure all client portfolios are reviewed at least annually in line with clients' changing risk attitudes and strategic requirements
  • Lead and motivate a team ensuring that targets are effectively communicated
  • Assist in the induction and development of new Advisers and nurture talent within
  • Understand, support and be aligned with the company's business development activities, in particular leading the development and servicing of key strategic business Partners

To be successful you will need

  • Chartered status with aspirations for further professional qualification development
  • Proven ability to deal with new and existing clients on a fee basis
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Ability to understanding and communicate advice practices and processes clearly and effectively
  • Technical/product knowledge and effective communication of wide ranging holistic financial planning strategies and solutions
  • Proven ability in mentoring, training and developing Adviser colleagues
