The Company

My client provides an internal, phone-based advice service throughout the UK, as well as outsourcing services to both private and corporate clients through their Self-employed Advisers. All their Advisers are fully qualified with vast experience and they also have a number of product specialists. Role

To contribute to the achievement of the overall sales targets for the company through the management of the hub team. The focus is on driving the performance of the team, plus the ongoing development of the hub proposition for referrals from Financial Advisers (members and directly authorised firms), whilst supporting corporate objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team to deliver business and product opportunities with Financial Advisers (members and DA firms) and review their requirements in order to fulfil clients' individual advice needs. Supporting Financial Advisers (members) and their business objectives
  • Develop an external network of relationships to support sales growth
  • Manage the hub in an effective manner, utilising resources to maximum effect and deliver increasing efficiencies. Manage resource levels in line with budget
  • Work with the senior management team by developing MI to analyse hub activity/productivity/profitability and make recommendations for commercial advantage
  • Develop and manage the commercial general insurance product position ensuring the hub have access to products to meet sales referrals
  • Management and development of staff ensuring appropriate skills, resources and succession plans are in place to ensure that the highest possible standards are attained and a culture of continuous improvement is embedded and maintained
  • Represent the hub in the support of the recruitment area's development strategies in order to support corporate objectives

To be successful you will need:

  • Knowledge of the advice process of financial service products
  • In depth, working knowledge of intermediary market in financial services
  • Understanding of the regulatory requirements of financial services products
  • Experience and success in previous sales advice roles
  • Substantial and demonstrable business experience within a financial services environment
