A unique User Experience/Product Design role for an innovative insur-tech business in the City.
This role is to ensure that the business achieves its strategic objective of becoming the market leading counterparty risk management platform in the global insurance market it is necessary to ensure that the software and services constantly evolve to effectively address user needs while maintaining technical integrity.

The role is to guarantee, at the highest level, that customers derive the utmost value and benefit from the use of our services by ensuring feature delivery is optimised and in balance with the business' strategic, technical and economic objectives.

The role involves being a product vision leader by developing new product ideas and seeing them through implementation, including research, design, build, charging, testing, implementation and review. This will be achieved by working closely with cross functional teams in Executive, marketing and development.

Core Responsibilities

  • Help define and take ownership of the new product strategy and roadmap
  • Be a bridge between all areas of the business and align goals to create a successful product plan
  • Take initial creative considerations and research their validity before making recommendations for inclusion in product development roadmap
  • Liaise with technical team during development and create input to UX/UI and UAT processes
  • Be a key influencer in the future direction of products, services and product strategy

General Responsibilities

  • Owning and communicating the product vision highlighting significant use cases, user scenarios, relevant standards, non-functional requirements etc. that may be necessary to facilitate development, implementation and understanding of solutions across the business
  • Consulting with clients to understand their goals and explaining research results
  • Conducting usability testing
  • Creating wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows
  • Developing personas and usage scenarios
  • Analysing user feedback and activity and iterating to enhance the user experience
  • Assisting with content development
  • Conducting competitor and customer analysis

About You

  • A background in creating satisfying or compelling experiences for users of a product, often drawing on results from user research and workflow analysis
  • Strong creative, technical and problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of graphic design and web technologies and of wireframing tools. You must have the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and a willingness to keep your skills and industry knowledge current
