The Company

My client is a specialist within their field, focusing on the financial management of personal injury awards and providing their clients with bespoke financial advice. When discussing investments, they dedicate their time to individuals and their families who have suffered with personal injury, dealing directly with the professionals involved in the process, Lawyers, trustees, deputies and Case Managers.

Role

My client is looking for an IFA Administrator to join their team of highly qualified and dedicated individuals, reporting to the Financial Planning Support Team Leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Use provider platforms to process and monitor new business
  • Liaise with clients and providers during progress of applications and ad-hoc enquiries -producing/sending letters and via phone calls/emails
  • Use suitability report templates to prepare basic advice reports
  • Prepare annual client reviews submitted by Advisers
  • Use back office system daily to prioritise and manage workload and monitor ongoing and new cases
  • Print and prepare application forms, report and illustrations for Advisers for sign-up meeting
  • Provide general ad-hoc support to Advisers and Paraplanners as required
  • General office and administration (post, stationery ordering, phone calls, visitor reception, setting meetings and appointments)
  • Process and monitor new and existing business cases Use back office system to set fee expectations and monitor suspense account
  • Provider commission reconciliation and queries management

To be successful you will need:

  • Practical experience and knowledge of financial planning
  • Experience of an office administration support role
  • A high standard of compliance and regulatory knowledge
  • To be able to work on own initiative with great attention to detail
  • Emotionally strong when dealing with sensitive cases
  • Strong interpersonal skills, drive and energy
  • Motivated by working in a fast-paced environment
  • Organised and able to prioritise
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with grade C or above in Maths and English
  • Able to use software packages such as Excel/Word/Outlook and platforms
  • Experience using client management and financial planning tools
  • Keen to progress with industry exams
  • Ideally you will have, or be studying towards, relevant industry qualifications for example FPC/RO
