Role:
My client is a general insurance practice with a financial planning arm of the business, they are looking for an experienced Financial Adviser to join the company and manage some of the company's existing personal clients and to introduce prospective new clients to the business.

Competencies

  • Understanding of all aspects of the financial planning process including:
    • Holistic financial planning
    • Retirement analysis decumulation planning
    • Inheritance tax planning
    • Cashflow modelling
    • Pension transfers
    • Investment choices
    • All protection aspects
    • Be aware of corporate business planning and solutions
    • Superannuation schemes, SIPPs and SSAS's
    • Defined benefit superannuation analysis
    • Retirement analysis accumulation planning
    • Social security analysis and retirement income strategy
    • Tax minimisation strategies for individuals and corporate
  • Ability to quickly adapt to use of prescribed financial planning software package
  • Thorough knowledge of the advice process
  • Ability to keep knowledge up to date at all times
  • Proven ability to give high quality advice to clients and deliver consistent timely solutions to their needs
  • Knowledge of the company's complaints and money laundering procedures
  • Knowledge of the current issues, services and programs the business is involved

Experience

  • Conduct initial client interviews according to the standard and agreed business process
  • Ensure all client data, correspondence and reports are accurate
  • Provide clear direction to the Project Manager to enable the financial plan to be prepared, containing an accurate confirmation of the client's circumstances, future goals and all recommendations
  • Conduct the plan presentation, induction and client review appointment according to the standard and agreed business process
  • Develop personal clients
  • Develop new business opportunities with commercial brokerage and other avenues
  • Develop the most appropriate strategies and advice according to the prospective client's current situation and future lifestyle goals and objectives
  • Ensure all prospective and existing client data is accurate and all final documented plans and reports are accurate prior to presentation to the client and/or prospective client
