Ready for your next challenge? This is a fantastic opportunity for an In-House Media Lawyer with substantial experience in TV production.


Our client is a leading international television production company with several well-known program formats in its portfolio. The business is considered to be one the most successful and dynamic production companies.


This role requires an experienced media lawyer with a breadth of television production legal experience. You will work directly with the Director of the Factual Division and General Counsel. The ideal candidate will the experience and expertise to take the lead matters and support internal stakeholders.


The responsibilities of this appointment include overseeing of legal and commercial matters and the line management of others. Generic duties of this position of course include full involvement in development, production, distribution licence, website and publishing agreements. The TV Production Lawyer in this role will also cover artistic agreements and be leading in finance arrangements. Also involved in the responsibilities will be advice on intellectual property and data privacy matters, as well as compliance.


The successful candidate is likely to have:

  • 10 years + of post qualification experience
  • In-house experience at a TV production company or channel
  • Experience in factual television
  • Commercial experience
  • Strong core legal skills
  • Knowledge of IP (U.S. and U.K.) rights
  • Experience of talent deals
  • Management experience
