Partnered with a wealth management firm in the South who are looking to develop their employee benefits offering. The purpose of the role is to proactively develop new business opportunities and support strategic growth across the UK

You will be expected to generate and negotiate new relationships and opportunities from a variety of sources.

Relationship Management

  • Identify and develop relationships with new professional partners
  • Develop the employer relationships (profile all senior management, client satisfaction, new opportunities in order to understand the client's needs)
  • Develop and implement a two-way referral process with chosen professional partners;
  • Develop and maintain relationships internally with the wider team

Business Development

  • Identify and attend industry events to represent the business and generate new leads
  • Organise a number of EB specific events alongside the marketing team with the view to attracting new EB
  • Attend monthly marketing committee meetings and contribute to the wider marketing strategy with particular focus around the development of the EB function
  • Have a broad understanding of all products within the portfolio and identify opportunities to cross sell and promote other services, such as; advice in the workplace

Management Information

  • Manage and maintain accurate management information / data relating to the different client contact strategies (including return on investment for planned events) and provide reports as and when required
  • Generate appropriate monthly reporting, information and statistics
  • Produce complex business tender reports based on client needs, as required


  • Ensure all compliance, TCF, Data Protection and FCA regulations are adhered to at all time
  • Keep up to date with all relevant products, legislative or technical changes

Person Specification

  • Proven experience of delivering new business wins successfully in a similar role
  • Proven experience of providing focussed solutions with successful results
  • Experience in developing relationships within the employee benefits arena
  • Experience of achieving / exceeding financial targets
  • Previous experience in dealing with large employers at board level
  • Experience of presenting to large groups

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma qualified or equivalent
  • Pension qualifications G60, AF3 would be an advantage
  • A self-motivated individual who has the ability to generate leads and cultivate new client opportunities
  • Ability to agree financial objectives and achieve / exceed them
  • Exceptional project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to providing high level of customer service and has experience of building relationships at corporate events
  • Excellent commercial awareness and industry knowledge
  • Ability to use all Microsoft Packages; Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
