Large IFA firm currently to add to the expanding team and recruit a Paraplanner to provide senior support, protection and reporting for the firms IFA’s through the delivery of added value advice and guidance, high quality research, accurate tax and other computations and comprehensive pre and post financial planning reports with particular emphasis on complex case discussion, complex report writing and the delivery of pre-approval on a range of higher risk advice in order to deliver understandable and safe financial outcomes for both the firm and their clients.

Responsibilities:

* Participate in adding value through direct discussion on complex financial planning cases with IFA’s
* Offer clear and well thought out decisions in principle and final agreement on cases which carry a high risk to the firm and the firms IFA’s
* Oversee and deliver comprehensive financial research on products and investments on an independent
* Design and deliver understandable and concise financial planning report templates for use across the range of products and service provided, both personal and corporate, in order to deliver understandable and suitable financial outcomes to clients
* Deliver and supervise tax calculations and other complex calculations including carry forward, lifetime allowance
* Request, prepare and interpret complex pension information with a view to completing analysis for pension switching and occupational pension transfers
* Knowledge and technical understanding of the financial planning issues surrounding inheritance tax planning, retirement planning, retirement options and other financial planning concepts
* Prepare complex financial planning reports with multiple subjects
* The ability to communicate and mediate coherently with IFA’s and clients on complex financial planning issues
* To be responsible for own continued professional development of financial services products and legislative issues through formal and informal learning
* Research and review of new and existing legislation and technical/product information

Requirements

* Close to or already in possession of Diploma in Financial Planning with a commitment to progress
* Possess an already developed knowledge and interest in the concepts and requirements of personal and corporate financial planning
* Experience in the support of IFA’s and other Advisers and in particular in the preparation and delivery of research and suitability reports
* Excellent written and numerical skills and an exceptional communication style
* Aptitude in Word and Excel, knowledge of Defaqto and other research systems and experience of using Avelo and/or Intelliflo CRM systems
