A leading financial planning practice are looking to recruit an experienced Paraplanner to their team based in Newark.

You will be required to provide full holistic paraplanning support to a team of experienced Financial Planners who deal mainly with high-ultra high net worth clients, as well as joining the Planners in the client meetings to have a greater understanding of the clients needs.

Your Role:
  • Take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, managing ongoing relationships and first port of call for technical enquiries
  • Maintain contact with the client, identify what they need and respond in a timely manner
  • Deal with clients face to face, over the phone and via emails, dealing with the technical matter and/or updating the relevant person efficiently and speedily
  • Attend client meetings and prepare meeting notes/presentations for delivery to the client within company timescales
  • Undertake research both independently and with the Planner to identify suitable solutions to meet the clients' needs
  • Carry out financial planning calculations e.g. tax and consider implications for advice
  • Prepare detailed and accurate lifetime cashflows with multiple scenarios to deliver client outcomes
  • Consider current and future asset allocation of assets for investment strategy with regard to the client risk profile
  • Produce clear, technically accurate, compliant and concise suitability/financial planning reports
  • Prepare and coordinate review documentation including financial planning presentation, cashflow and asset review
  • Implement agreed actions within company timescales, keeping client up to date
To be successful you will need:
  • A minimum of CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent
  • Achieved or working towards CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent
  • Cashflow modelling experience is desirable
  • Demonstration of knowledge, interest and experience in personal financial planning and in the construction of financial planning research and suitability reports
  • Experience in an IFA environment, demonstrating quality communications of constructive feedback
