My client is looking for a qualified Paraplanner who is looking to take the next step into management. We believe that everyone should think ahead, have a plan and invest wisely in their career.

The company;
We provide a complete financial planning and investment service to high net worth individuals. This award-winning firm are based in central Bristol. the strategy focuses on the relationships, services and expertise through which they build leadership in their specialist markets.
To manage, train and develop a team of Junior Paraplanners providing research and data collection activities to our Paraplanners, Advisers and clients. The Team Leader needs to ensure that all SLAs and compliance standards are met and ensure the production of management information and accurate processing of tasks. You will have full support and guidance from the existing Paraplanning Manager.

You will be responsible for;

  • Monitor workload and support levels, distributing work in accordance with team objectives and procedures
  • Undertake the assistant paraplanning role, in line with their key responsibilities. This will involve for example date collection, O&M reports
  • Undertake KPI/objective checking across the team, ensuring that those KPIs/objectives are met or if needs are identified ensuring that remedial action and/or further training is undertaken and monitored
  • Ensure that our back office systems are accurate and kept up to date, with all work flow procedures fully followed and updated
  • Continually strive to improve the overall efficiency and productivity within the assistant paraplanning team
  • Assist with the recruitment, management and developing a team of high calibre Assistant Paraplanners, within budget and headcount levels
  • Liaise with Line Manager / HR to effectively manage people related matters
  • Coach, mentor and develop staff, providing career development planning and opportunities
  • Keep up to date with the Financial Planning Tools used with the department and ensuring that we make the most efficient and best use of them. This will also involve liaising with the Paraplanning Analyst and Tools team to review alternative Tools. Regulatory responsibilities (compliance/T&C)
  • Investigate and take appropriate action on any Assistant Paraplanner attributable incidents
  • Assist with being part of the first line of defence, alerting Line Manager/compliance to any issues which may require investigation or where processes are not being followed

To be successful you will be;

  • Minimum of Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning (CII) or Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Understanding of the financial planning process, including any paraplanning department's processes and procedures and ensure that these are followed in all instances
  • Ability to work within defined business processes and to achieve agreed outcomes without supervision
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and plan own and team's workload
