Are you an experienced financial services professional working in training and competency or training and development? Do you have excellent people management skills, including coaching and mentoring? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Development Consultant to join a large, independent financial advisory firm.

As Regional Development Consultant, you will operate on a national scale working in a home-based capacity however, regular travel will predominately include Leeds, London and Essex.

You will coach, train, develop and monitor the performance of their Financial Advisers, to ensure that clients receive an outstanding service and that all regulatory requirements and standards are met and maintained. You will also ensure that all Advisers demonstrate appropriate levels of knowledge, skills and expertise to undertake their role competently in line with the company's T&C programme.

You would be expected to manage the training and development of a team of Financial Advisers as well as conduct induction training for Financial Advisers joining the company. Through training you would also hold role-play assessments for Financial Advisers and manage and supervise Financial Advisers performance and provide appropriate levels of oversight from non-competent to competent status. The role will also need you to undertake training needs analysis to identify training gaps in skills and knowledge and investigate areas of under performance, report findings and recommended remedial action addressing areas and creating development plans to address develop these needs.

To be successful you must have a strong training and development background with previous experience working in a field-based role. You must be up to date compliance and risk management knowledge and have the people management skills including coaching and mentoring with strong and effective communication skills.

In reward for your efforts you will receive a basic salary of up to £43,000 plus a car allowance and receive a competitive bonus, as well as 25 days annual leave rising to 28 days with service, contributory pension, 4 x DIS and benefit from private medical, critical illness and income protection.
