A well-known Insur Tech business is looking for a Sales Manager to run their BDMs in the London office. They are seeking a motivated, high performing, results-driven Sales Manager to lead the business development team. The successful candidate will understand what motivates customers to buy and know how to tap into those needs and desires in an effective way. The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs), but also expected to develop their own pipeline of opportunities and will be responsible and accountable for meeting the sales targets of the organisation. The Sales Manager should be competitive, financially motivated and capable of teaching sales strategies to the team. The role will report to the Chief Commercial Officer.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the BDM team, assessing strengths and weaknesses and development opportunities
  • Own objectives setting and performance management of the BDM team
  • Provide support and guidance for the BDM team as they generate leads and help them close deals
  • Develop own pipeline of new business and carry targets for this as well as the overall BDM team target
  • Provide weekly reporting to the CCO and leadership team on progress vs. targets both individual and company wide
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives and strategies in conjunction with the CCO


Skills and Experience

  • Experience in B2B sales experience, preferably in the insurance environment
  • Sales leadership experience
  • Track record of successfully meeting and exceeding targets
  • Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to close
  • Ability to run a CRM based pipeline
