My client are an award winning Chartered Financial Planning practice based in North Leeds and they are currently looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of technical support to the team of Independent Financial Advisers, ensuring that all recommendations within pensions, investments and wealth management products are technically accurate and provide 'best advice' for the client.

The Role

  • Preparation of suitability/reason why letters/reports and recommendations
  • SIPP and private portfolio reviews
  • Product and fund research
  • Obtaining illustrations, fund fact sheets and all related compliance documentation
  • Packaging letters for clients, including all necessary application documentation
  • Attending client meetings and preparing meeting notes when requested to do so
  • Maintenance of Adviser Office diary and INVU Document Management Systems
  • Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of the standard letter templates and appendices used by the company
  • Active participation in either the investment committee or product committee, taking responsibility for at least one market sector or product area
  • Other duties as required and requested to ensure the smooth running of the company as a whole

Additional Duties

  • To act as a 'second pair of eyes' for the Consultant, identifying items which may affect the advice being given or the internal file review process
  • To meet the key performance indicators (KPIs) specified by the company and detailed on the attached document
  • To take responsibility for personal development, maintaining technical knowledge required for the performance of this role, including completion of the annual competency tests
  • Comply with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the relevant FCA or any superseding regulator(s) rules at all times
  • Comply with the relevant compliance, TCF, T&C, financial crime and anti-money laundering procedures at all times
  • Keep up to date with all relevant product, legislative and technical changes, as required
