My client is currently looking for an experienced Wealth Planner to join their team in Manchester.

The Wealth Planner's role is to support the Relationship Manager by providing client consultations and to secure opportunities to deliver fee-based advice to clients. The Wealth Planner will be part of the relationship team, reveal client needs, win client commitment to proceed to fee based advice and will win further fees through the implementation of recommended solutions.

The Role

  • To support Banker and Investment Manager client engagement in the activities of client service, leading to client retention and client acquisition
  • To advise clients by revealing and addressing their Wealth Planning needs through the timely delivery of compliant, low advice risk, suitability reports
  • To deliver against personal commercial, professional and technical objectives
  • To actively contribute to the improvement and development of the wealth management proposition, advice process and client experience
  • To make a personal contribution to the continuous improvement of the business through collaboration and professional development



The Candidate

  • Expert knowledge of holistic Wealth Planning considerations and advice construction disciplines
  • Expert knowledge of investment, fiduciary, taxation and banking matters relevant to holistic wealth planning solutions
  • Knowledge and insight into the operations of the FCA, relevant regulations and other relevant legislation
  • Procedural Knowledge - The steps of the Advice Process relevant to Investment and Wealth Planning advice. Detailed knowledge of relevant procedures and process
  • Thorough understanding of private wealth management and wider markets
  • Experience as a Wealth Planner or Paraplanner, within a HNW client environment
  • Experience of pre advice sale cycle activities - Research, analysis and interpretation, file preparation, and report creation
  • Experience of solution implementation - application form collation, checking and submission, billing, post-sale administration, record keeping



Qualifications

  • Attained Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) and be actively working towards Chartered Financial Planner status, and Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (APFS)
