Another great event for the Insurance Institute of Manchester Dinner. The evening always entails great food and entertainment (this year, from Comedian Tiff Stevenson!) and catching up with many valued clients of IDEX.
One of our Business Managers, Stuart McKenna, attended this years BIBA event in Scotland. He commented: 'I Thoroughly enjoyed attending the BIBA Scotland event yesterday representing IDEX. It really showcased the diversity of businesses operating across the Scottish insurance market from new app-based providers through to the larger insurers. It was noticeable the importance of diversity & inclusion from employers in order to really create healthy modern working cultures which will pave the way for an exciting future of the Scottish market’.
Another great event for the annual BIBA Quiz night in Manchester.
Well done to the winners of the night!
A brilliant evening for the awards held at Grosvenor House in London.
Well done to all the winners.
What a year!!! The whole team out in force for BIBA 2019 Guest speakers Freddie Flintoff, Katie Piper and Professor Green discussed mental health and Boris gave us his two cents on the UK financial sector post Brexit! Our CEO, Matt Green interviewed Brendan McManus, Jason Beelders, Nick Sharp, Paul Anscombe, Tim James and Jason Anthony at this year’s BIBA Conference. Hear their thoughts on how technology is impacting the industry, what skills are needed for the future and what is next for the market. Follow this link to see the videos
We were thrilled to take a number of our consultants and partner clients to Ladies Day at Royal Ascot. A fantastic day was had by all!
A great evening organised by Gemma Henderson and the Insurance Institute of London. A real insight into the importance of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain within the insurance market. Big thanks to Madeline Bailey, Hélène Stanway, Areiel Wolanow, Alanna Sarah Attwood, Alessandro Recino and of course Shân Millie for speaking. Amazing venue from Microsoft and Networking drinks hosted by AXA XL, a division of AXA.
The Airmic Conference is the only risk management conference where the whole industry comes together to share experiences and influence forward thinking. It has become the most important event in the calendar for the insurance and risk management industry.
Matt Green presented our findings from an extensive survey on the future of the Insurance industry. Some interesting points around skill sets required to be successful in the insurance industry. Did you know that 77% of insurance businesses do not have plans to mitigate the impact of technology on their employees, and that only 12% were confident that they have a plan to attract the next generation of talent.
London Guest speaker Kate Aide, spoke about her own experience on risk working with the BBC. “In areas of war and conflict, neither side will ever tell you they have been beat, weak or lost”, a familiar trait from many businesses in all sectors “Earlier this month, over 700 people attended the MGAA annual conference, the highest number yet, and a true reflection of the strong growth in our sector. The theme this year was “Survival of the Fittest” and we sought to address some of the many challenges the insurance supply chain faces, including capacity, distribution and increasing regulation. It is undoubtedly a difficult time for many MGAs, but reflecting on the event and the many conversations I had with our members, I see a sector that is not only surviving, but thriving”. – Peter Staddon, MD MGAA
