Marine Insurance Broker Development Executive - Full home working with opportunity of some international travel to places such as Cyprus and Malta too!
This is an exceptional opportunity for a successful sales professional with a track record of developing and managing broker relationships - You can come from any line of insurance, but more importantly have a general interest in moving into the interesting world of marine insurance!
What's in it for you?
Work from home 95% of the time (you can be based anywhere in the country) where you will manage and grow a portfolio of brokers across the UK, Ireland and over time be introduced to some clients across continental Europe.
You'll represent a well-established marine broker with binder authority across several specialist lines, including Marine Trades, Yachts, and UK Small Commercial Craft. You will have some exposure to underwriting, but you'll have a team of underwriters and brokers behind you who will support with the technical underwriting and placement of business.

As this is privately owned, independent Broker/MGA, you will have direct access to the owners who have an open door policy and are always willing to listen to their team and the ideas they have to help grow the business. In fact, they encourage it!
We are looking to talk to those who love being out in front of Brokers, turning stale relationships into thriving profitable ones, driving enquiries and promoting your unique marine binders/products.
You're known to be someone who doesn't accept 'no' straight away and will regularly think outside the box when sourcing placement solutions for your clients.
Yes this is a business development led role, however
1.) You'll have a portfolio of existing and old relationships to pick up from day 1, meaning you will not be building anything from scratch
2.) You'll have genuinely needed products/solutions to push our to your brokers - As you may know, general Insurance Brokers do not understand marine insurance and often seek out help to place certain risks!
What's on offer?
A very generous commission structure will be offered on top of a strong base salary, up to £40,000
You will be trusted to work from home 95% of the time, with opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally to see existing and new brokers.
