Claims Leader - Advisory

I'm partnering with a leading global insurance and risk advisory firm to recruit a Claims Manager for their UK Specialty Claims division. This is a high-impact leadership role based in Norwich, offering hybrid working and the opportunity to shape the future of a dynamic claims function.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on leadership position overseeing a team of claims professionals, including Team Managers and Handlers, across complex lines such as Aviation, Energy, Liability, and Commercial Property.
You'll report into the Head of Claims Operations and play a key role in driving performance, operational excellence, and strategic transformation within the UK Claims Leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional client outcomes
  • Personally handle escalated and complex claims - this is a visible, hands-on leadership role
  • Drive operational improvements using data, metrics, and best practice
  • Collaborate with regional and global leaders to shape claims strategy and innovation
  • Champion a high-performance culture and continuous improvement mindset
  • Lead initiatives around data quality, process efficiency, and regulatory compliance

Candidate Profile

  • Proven leadership experience in a claims environment (broker, insurer, or loss adjuster)
  • Strong technical knowledge of specialty lines (Aviation, Energy, Liability, Property)
  • Confident and credible communicator with the ability to influence and inspire
  • Data-literate and comfortable using metrics to drive decisions
  • Operationally minded with a track record of delivering change
  • Able to build trust across a diverse team, from early-career professionals to long-tenured staff
