Job description
A Lloyd's broker is seeking a Compliance Manager to join their London-based team. This role is central to supporting the firm's compliance framework as they expand their international operations under new ownership and respond to an evolving regulatory landscape.
The Opportunity
The role offers the chance to lead day-to-day compliance activity, shape regulatory strategy, and support the development of a small but capable team. With new products in the pipeline and potential M&A activity on the horizon, you'll be joining at a pivotal moment of growth.
You'll be part of a four-person team, reporting directly to senior leadership, and will act as a key point of escalation for compliance matters across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the compliance monitoring plan.
- Track, interpret, and implement regulatory changes.
- Maintain and update policies, frameworks, and FCA submissions.
- Lead on product governance and Consumer Duty requirements.
- Collaborate with wider teams across the business to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Support and mentor junior compliance staff, with the opportunity to develop people-management skills.
What We're Looking For
We're open to professionals from two key profiles:
- Ambitious and Commercially Minded - perhaps from a consultancy or rapidly growing firm, ready to take on more responsibility.
- Experienced and Grounded - someone who thrives in a hands-on role and values stability over a fast-tracked title climb.
- Direct line management experience is not essential, but you should be keen to grow into a leadership position and make a long-term impact. Cultural fit is important, this is a collaborative, supportive team, and the right person will be someone who enjoys working in a close-knit environment while embracing change and growth.
Why Join?
- Significant scope for professional development.
- Opportunity to shape compliance processes in a growing, post-acquisition business.
- Hybrid working and a modern, centrally located London office.
