Court of Protection Solicitor

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Court of Protection Fee Earner to join a well-established and highly respected top law firm with offices across Lincolnshire and the Midlands. This full-service firm is recognised for its long-standing reputation, client-focused approach, and commitment to supporting its people.


The role:

  • Manage property and affairs deputyships for vulnerable clients, including those with complex care needs.
  • Handle trust management, tax affairs, and accounts.
  • Draft and submit Deputyship Applications, statutory wills, and other relevant applications to the Court of Protection.
  • Liaise with clients, families, care providers, and other professionals to ensure the highest standards of care and financial management.
  • Visit clients in their homes, care facilities, and hospitals as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Private Client team to develop the Court of Protection offering and participate in business development opportunities.


Essential skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in Court of Protection work within a legal setting.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A compassionate, proactive, and professional approach.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel is required for the role).


Desirable:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive.
  • Familiarity with private client work and related case management systems.
