This is a rare opportunity to join one of the UK's most respected wealth management organisations in a newly created position designed to enhance the commercial success of Financial Planners nationwide.

To support continued growth, they are seeking a Practice Development Manager - Financial Planning, reporting directly to the Head of Financial Planning Advice. This role is pivotal in driving adviser productivity, revenue growth and behavioural excellence across the financial planning population.
This is not a T&C role. It is a commercially focused position centred on Adviser development, growth enablement and performance improvement.
About the Role
You will lead the strategic development and delivery of coaching programmes that strengthen the capability, confidence and commercial acumen of Financial Planners. The role combines hands-on coaching, strategic leadership and performance analysis, with the aim of elevating standards of client engagement and driving consistent revenue growth across the business.
Based in London with hybrid working, you will work closely with Regional Leaders, Financial Planners and cross-functional teams to embed best practice and create a high-performance, client-centric culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a scalable coaching framework that enhances Adviser performance, commercial effectiveness and client engagement
- Deliver one-to-one and group coaching programmes tailored to varying levels of experience and capability
- Analyse performance data to identify trends, gaps and development opportunities
- Create and maintain tools, resources and content to support ongoing capability development
- Partner with compliance, marketing, T&C and other teams to ensure all coaching aligns with regulatory requirements and commercial objectives
- Act as a Trusted Adviser to Senior Leaders, offering insights and recommendations to support improved business performance
- Contribute to the development of a high-performance, client-focused culture across the organisation
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A proven track record in financial planning, wealth management, or financial services sales
- Experience in a client-facing advisory role, ideally combined with coaching or sales leadership experience
- A deep understanding of the financial advice process, regulatory landscape and effective client engagement strategies
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence and challenge at all levels
- Exceptional interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills
- Experience designing and delivering coaching programmes at scale
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
Qualifications
- Level 4 diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent)
- Progress toward Chartered status preferred (Chartered Financial Planner advantageous)
- Coaching qualification (e.g., ILM, ICF) desirable
- Degree-level education beneficial
