IFA

Job description

Are you a highly motivated and experienced Financial Adviser seeking not just your next role, but a genuine opportunity to take ownership and lead?

We're offering a rare opportunity to step into the leadership of a highly respected financial advice business based in Herefordshire, with c.£45m in assets under advice and a premium client base built on long-standing relationships and trust.

The Opportunity

This is more than just a client-facing role. You'll take over the day-to-day running of a well-established firm with a superb local reputation, and the chance to acquire up to 20% equity. The firm is part of a wider group with ambitious plans for future acquisitions and growth, meaning your equity stake could grow significantly in value over time.

You'll become Managing Director, responsible for both advising clients and leading the business strategically. Back-office and compliance support are fully provided through the firm's wider network, freeing you to focus on growth and client service.

What We're Looking For

  • Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartered status
  • Fully authorised (CAS/SPS) with proven experience in delivering high-quality financial advice
  • A passion for building long-term relationships and growing a client-centric business
  • Experience managing a client book and ideally running an IFA firm
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to generate new business through referrals, acquisitions, or your existing relationships
  • The ability to bring an existing client book would be a strong advantage (subject to contractual restrictions)
  • Available to start immediately or within 1-2 months

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Managing Director, responsible for advice, operations, and strategic decision-making
  • Deliver expert financial advice across pensions and wealth planning
  • Lead operational functions: budgeting, support staff oversight, marketing, and compliance (with group support)
  • Conduct regular business reviews and report to shareholders

What's on Offer

  • Base salary of c.£70k plus performance-based bonus linked to revenue
  • Equity stake of up to 20% in a growing, acquisitive firm
  • Long-term wealth-building potential through equity growth
  • Market-leading technology stack and back-office infrastructure
  • Flexible working options
  • Full compliance, accountancy, and admin support provided

About the Business

  • Established and trusted firm with a loyal, high-quality client base
  • Approx. 140 clients with c. £45m in assets under advice
  • Office based in Herefordshire, approximately 30 minutes northwest of Cheltenham
  • Focused on delivering bespoke pension and wealth advice
