Job description

My client is currently looking for a Paraplanner to join their team in Southport.

The role of the Paraplanner is to support the advisors with the design, construction and delivery of exceptional advice and recommendations to meet our client's goals. They are responsible for managing all Client Reporting, Analysis & Research and Post Review.

THE ROLE

  • All recommendation and annual review reporting for new and existing clients which could require attendance in client meetings and will require engagement with the assigned adviser
  • Providing guidance and assistance for advisers, in the development of investment portfolios for clients of the firm
  • Training other members of the team on matters relating to the above activities, as required
  • Maintenance of any proprietary investment management tools used in the above activities
  • Ensuring the investment management processes are being followed and continually reviewed and improved
  • Supporting planners and advisers in the application of those processes in support of the client
  • Providing a contact point for administration regarding any queries concerning the implementation of portfolio changes
  • Support the continual improvement and development of existing processes and controls
  • Support the wider strategic and business goals of the business with objectives that compliment the skills and experience of a Financial Planner


Required Knowledge

A Paraplanner must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the financial planning process, excellent technical knowledge in relation to personal finance and investment management issues and also possess a strong awareness of the regulatory framework.

They should possess a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) or have a clear development path to achieving Chartered status and be able to demonstrate practical application of technical knowledge and a history of continuous professional development.
