My client is looking recruit an experienced and motivated Paraplanner to support their advisors in Preston and build a long-term career within their growing wealth management firm.
This is a rewarding role, suited to someone who can deliver high-quality financial planning support, work collaboratively with advisers, and produce technically robust client recommendations.
The Role
As a Paraplanner, you will play a key role in supporting a team of advisers, helping to deliver comprehensive, client-focused financial planning solutions.
Key Duties
- Prepare clear, compliant and technically accurate suitability reports across a wide range of advice areas
- Conduct detailed research on products, funds and planning strategies using internal and external tools
- Analyse client information and support the development of holistic financial plans, including cashflow modelling
- Collaborate closely with advisers to understand client objectives and deliver appropriate recommendations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in line with FCA requirements
- Liaise with providers and third parties to obtain information and progress cases
- Identify planning opportunities across pensions, investments, tax and protection
- Support continuous improvement of paraplanning processes and escalate complex cases where appropriate
About You
- QCF Level 4 qualified (essential), with support available for progression to Level 6
- Strong experience in holistic financial planning, including pensions (pre and post retirement), investment planning and estate planning
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and report writing skills
- Comfortable working with a range of financial planning systems
- Experience with different Investment platforms such as Parmenion, Fidelity, Abrdn, Aviva, Transact and SS&C Hubwise
- Experience of Cashflow modelling tools would be an advantage.
