Paraplanner Manager

A highly respected, independent financial advisory and wealth management firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Paraplanning Manager to lead and develop its paraplanning function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional with leadership experience to join a forward-thinking business in a pivotal role.
You'll manage a team of Paraplanners to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of research and financial planning reports. Based in the Bromsgrove office (3 days per week), this hybrid role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership and process ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing paraplanning team, identifying training needs and supporting individual development.
  • Oversee work-flow to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor the quality and consistency of reports, providing feedback and coaching to maintain high standards.
  • Act as a key point of contact for paraplanning queries and support newer team members through structured on-boarding and mentoring.
  • Collaborate on team-wide and cross-departmental projects, meeting set deadlines and contributing to firm-wide improvements.
  • Continually assess and enhance internal processes to drive operational efficiency and client service delivery.
  • Ensure team compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Diploma in Financial Planning (minimum qualification requirement).
  • Strong experience in a paraplanning or financial planning environment, ideally within an IFA setting.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and drive performance.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and written/numerical skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional support to advisers and clients.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and relevant financial planning software/tools.
