PI Underwriting Lead
Job description
Are you a skilled PI Underwriter seeking a dynamic opportunity in Manchester? Join our team as a Regional Professional Indemnity (PI) Underwriter! We're searching for a talented individual to contribute to our growing team, utilising your expertise to assess risks and ensure optimal coverage for our clients.
As a Regional PI Underwriter, you'll play a pivotal role in evaluating insurance applications, analysing data, and making informed decisions to protect our clients' interests. Your keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills will be essential in assessing risks accurately and effectively.
Role Development: This role will evolve over time with a view to assuming leadership responsibilities for the Northern region. You'll have the opportunity to grow professionally and take on additional challenges as you demonstrate your capabilities.
Home-Based: Enjoy the flexibility of working from home while collaborating with our team in the south. We provide the support and resources you need to excel in your role, no matter where you're located.
Market Focus: Please note that this role does not primarily focus on the solicitor and IFA market, offering you a diverse range of underwriting challenges. You will need to have strong broker connectivity across the north.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate insurance applications and underwrite policies within established guidelines.
- Analyse risk factors and determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, providing exceptional service and support.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to inform underwriting decisions.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in PI underwriting or related field.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Professional certification or qualifications in insurance (preferred but not required).
- Join us and become part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional insurance solutions. If you're ready to take your underwriting career to the next level, apply now and unleash your potential in Manchester!
