Job description
Are you a Junior Private Client Solicitor (1-3 years PQE) with a passion for Wills, Trusts, Estates, and Private Client Law? An outstanding opportunity has arisen at a highly respected independent law firm in Reading, known for its strong reputation in private client, excellent training, and client-focused approach.
We're looking for a driven and personable Solicitor to join a Chambers and Legal 500 recognised Private Client team. This is a permanent position ideal for those looking to progress their private client career within a collaborative and supportive environment.
You will work closely with experienced lawyers on a range of non-contentious private client matters, including:
- Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
- Estate administration, including Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning and preparation of IHT accounts
- Advising a broad range of clients on wealth protection and estate planning
You will have your own caseload while receiving full supervision and mentorship, with clear progression pathways and regular client contact.
About You:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (1 - 3 years PQE)
- Experience or strong interest in Private Client Law, particularly Wills and Probate
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a desire to build long-term client relationships
- Willingness to get involved in business development and community initiatives
What's On Offer:
- Competitive salary and benefits package
- Strong work-life balance and hybrid working model
- Supportive culture with regular social and CSR events
- Real career progression in a friendly, mid-sized firm with a solid local and national client base
- An inclusive and diverse working environment where your contribution is valued
