Project Finance Partner
Job description
A leading international law firm based in London is seeking to appoint a first-time Partner into its growing Project Finance practice. This strategic hire is aimed at individuals operating at Senior Associate or Legal Director level who are ready to take the next step into Partnership - this is not just a pathway, it's your first Partner role.
With a strong global platform and extensive deal flow in energy, infrastructure, and sustainable finance, this firm offers the right candidate the chance to own and lead mandates, contribute to firm-wide strategy, and build out their own practice within a supportive and entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex project finance transactions across key global markets.
- Act as lead counsel on transactions involving DFIs, ECAs, commercial lenders, and sponsors.
- Develop new and existing client relationships and drive business development initiatives.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the practice, with mentoring responsibilities over juniors.
- Play a central role in a growing finance team with strong internal and cross-border collaboration.
About You
- 7+ PQE with significant experience in project finance (energy, infrastructure, transport).
- Currently operating as a Senior Associate or Legal Director with a clear case for partnership.
- Strong client relationships and commercial awareness, with a desire to grow a sustainable practice.
- Ambitious, entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset.
- Experience from a leading City, international, or boutique project finance firm.
Why This Firm?
- First-time Partner opportunity with immediate recognition and autonomy.
- Excellent internal support from an established global finance platform.
- A clear and inclusive vision for strategic growth across energy and infrastructure.
- Strong brand, international footprint, and top-tier client base.
- Competitive Partner-level compensation structure.
