Restructuring Lawyer

Job description

A top-tier City law firm is seeking an experienced Restructuring Lawyer (4-8 years' PQE) to join its highly regarded restructuring and insolvency team in London.


This is a standout opportunity to work on high-profile, complex, and often cross-border restructuring matters, advising a premium client base that includes financial institutions, private equity sponsors, corporates, insolvency practitioners, and distressed investors.


The Role
You will play a key role in a busy and sophisticated practice, advising on matters including:

  • Complex financial restructurings and reorganisations
  • Insolvency and distressed M&A transactions
  • Refinancings, restructurings and recapitalisations
  • Advisory work for lenders, funds, corporates and office-holders
  • Domestic and cross-border restructuring mandates
  • Contingency planning and risk advisory work

This is a client-facing role with real responsibility, exposure to strategic decision-making, and strong partner access.


Candidate Profile
You will ideally have:

  • 4-8 years' PQE in restructuring, insolvency or special situations
  • Experience from a leading City, international, or top-tier regional firm
  • Strong technical grounding in UK insolvency and restructuring law
  • Exposure to complex financing structures and distressed scenarios
  • Commercial awareness and strong client-handling skills
  • Confidence working on high-value, high-pressure matters
  • Ambition to progress within a top-tier restructuring platform
