Senior Fine Art Underwriter

Job description

This isn't another MGA looking to make a bit of money in the fine art space and expect the candidate to do all the heavy lifting and to attract capacity
This is different and offers a nice balance between security and entrepreneurialism

A well-backed, globally recognised insurer (with European reinsurer strength behind them) is looking for a Senior Fine Art Underwriter to lead and grow their UK regional portfolio.

This is where you come in.
They've already got the paper. They've already got the appetite. Now they need someone with the expertise, and the ambition to take the reins and shape the strategy.
You'll be their go-to for Fine Art in the UK as their Leader. That means broker relationships, portfolio growth, underwriting decisions, all yours to drive.

No legacy mess to clean up. No endless approvals. Just you, the market, and a leadership team that wants to get out of your way and let you build.

Ideal if:

  • You've got solid Fine Art underwriting experience with strong relationships with UK and Irish Brokers
  • You know your clients, and your numbers and have experience underwriting profitable Fine Art, Museum and Gallery business.
  • You're ready to step into something with more autonomy and impact and firm with a strong European Fine Art book

In return you'll expect

  • Strong base salary and Bonus structure that rewards performance
  • Backing of a major global player
  • Hybrid working (London or working from home)

If you are keen to get out the corporate syndicate/insurer environment and have a desire to join a more nimble MGA but do not want the pressure of having to go out and pitch for capacity, this is your rare opportunity.

Interested? Drop me a message or just send over your CV. Let's talk off record!
