Senior Management Liability Underwriter

Job description

An established and growing underwriting business is seeking a Senior Management Liability Underwriter to join its Manchester team. This is a key hire for the regional operation and would suit an experienced underwriter who is comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy and has strong broker relationships across the North.

The Role

  • Underwrite a portfolio of Management Liability risks, including D&O, EPL, and related lines

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers across the Northern region

  • Act as a senior point of contact for brokers, providing technical underwriting expertise and commercial support

  • Drive profitable growth within the portfolio, balancing underwriting discipline with business development

  • Contribute to strategy, product development, and market positioning in the region

About You

  • Proven experience underwriting Management Liability risks at a senior level

  • Strong, established broker relationships across the North of England

  • Self-sufficient and confident managing your own portfolio and broker relationships

  • Commercially minded with excellent negotiation and decision-making skills

  • Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial environment
