Job description
An established and growing underwriting business is seeking a Senior Management Liability Underwriter to join its Manchester team. This is a key hire for the regional operation and would suit an experienced underwriter who is comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy and has strong broker relationships across the North.
The Role
Underwrite a portfolio of Management Liability risks, including D&O, EPL, and related lines
Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers across the Northern region
Act as a senior point of contact for brokers, providing technical underwriting expertise and commercial support
Drive profitable growth within the portfolio, balancing underwriting discipline with business development
Contribute to strategy, product development, and market positioning in the region
About You
Proven experience underwriting Management Liability risks at a senior level
Strong, established broker relationships across the North of England
Self-sufficient and confident managing your own portfolio and broker relationships
Commercially minded with excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial environment
