You'll be joining a Management Liability team that's actually building something.
Not patching holes - expanding. Nationally.
You'll help shape how they grow across the UK and Ireland, with the backing of a global insurer that's been doing things properly for a long time.
You'll have proper underwriting authority - not the kind where you need five signatures to move a rate. You'll own your portfolio, grow new business, and develop genuine relationships with brokers across the regions.
You'll spend more time talking to people and writing good business than ticking boxes.
What you'll be doing:
Underwriting management liability accounts across the UK - with the autonomy to make calls that matter.
Growing a regional portfolio and developing broker relationships that last longer than a single renewal.
Writing profitable business, not just volume for the sake of it.
Helping shape a national strategy for a team that actually listens to ideas.
Getting out there - meetings, events, broker lunches. The fun part of underwriting.
Working closely with other lines like Financial Institutions - because collaboration isn't just a buzzword here.
What they're looking for:
Underwriting experience in Management Liability.
Someone who can balance technical know-how with commercial sense.
A decent human being who brokers like dealing with.
Someone who enjoys growing business, not just managing a renewal diary.
Detail-oriented, analytical, curious - but not paralysed by spreadsheets.
