Become the 'lead' and Senior Underwriter on a newly launched Freight Liability Program. You will not be expected to attract capacity, the products and limits are already in place so you'll be able to hit the ground running straight away.
You have the distribution and technical background within marine cargo insurance, with specific exposure to freight liability and dealing with freight brokers.
You're ambitious, naturally entrepreneurial and would relish the opportunity to build out a Freight Liability book of business on behalf of one of best regarded Marine and Logistics insurance businesses in the US Insurance market.
As a hugely integral part of the business, you will lead from the front capitalizing on this business's already vast distribution, you will promote various freight broker products to new and existing agencies with intentions to grow to $15million GWP within 3 years.
Depending on your success, you'll have the opportunity to recruit and add to your team to better service your clients.
A bit about you
- You may be an experienced Underwriter in the marine cargo space, but what we are really looking for is someone with some knowledge in the freight liability world.
- You may have dealt with freight broker business over the years - Freight liability insurance protects a business's legal liability and responsibility for the loss of damage of goods it transports for their customers
- Being on the road meeting brokers is something you enjoy and bringing very unique products to market

- You will be rewarded with a base salary up to $180,000 plus bonus potential
- Opportunity to work remotely or hybrid - There are many offices across the US market so we are able to consider individuals across most states.
- You'll have direct access to senior management where you will have a voice and ability to execute and deliver on strategy
