Technical Advice Specialist

As a Technical Advice Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting our financial advisers with technically complex advice cases, helping them deliver exceptional solutions for clients with unique or intricate financial needs. You'll act as a trusted technical resource, providing insight into advanced planning strategies and market trends to strengthen relationships and secure outcomes.

You believe that great advice starts with understanding complexity and crafting solutions that meet each client's unique circumstances. You'll collaborate closely with advisers and paraplanners, offering expertise in areas such as trusts, non-personal entities, enhanced inheritance tax planning, and specialist investment strategies. Your ability to simplify complexity and deliver clarity will be central to creating confidence for both advisers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as technical support for complex advice cases where advisers require the support of a specialist to help construct and develop tailored client solutions
  • Provide expertise on cases involving unusual client circumstances, trusts, non-personal entities, enhanced IHT planning, VCT/EIS, retirement income planning, and legacy product issues
  • Act as a point of reference for the wider investment market and advice trend information
  • Support advisers in the construction of appropriate advice and product solutions along with any bespoke pricing arrangements
  • Key SME who analyses and evaluates the feasibility / relevance of proposals for complex products / services
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including third-party providers and Cazenove Capital, to ensure smooth client on-boarding
  • Invest in your own development and support others by delivering specialised training or coaching in your area of expertise
  • Identify opportunities to improve business practices and recommend enhancements to policies, processes, and standards
  • Uncover emerging issues and/or needs and identify potential causes, related issues, key stakeholders and barriers
  • Contribute to Investment Office forums and stay informed on emerging issues, market developments, and legislative changes
  • Commitment to living our values, upholding Consumer Duty responsibilities, ensuring professional standards and maintaining your Statement of Professional Standing (SPS)

Skills And Experience

  • Minimum Level 4 Diploma and working towards Chartered, Chartered would be preferred
  • Proven experience working in wealth management or financial services industry
  • Previous financial adviser or paraplanning experience preferred - at a senior level

It is a role requirement to pass any professional qualifications relevant to the role that may be introduced by future legislation.
