Housing Disrepair Fee Earner/Solicitor

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Housing Disrepair Fee Earners or Solicitors to join a reputable and expanding firm as they open their new Liverpool office. With decades of specialist experience in tenant litigation, this team is known for its client-first ethos and strong results - now they're bringing that same energy to Merseyside.

The Role

You'll manage a caseload of housing disrepair matters from initial instruction through to resolution, including both pre- and post-litigated files. You'll work autonomously but with strong operational support, using modern systems and streamlined processes to deliver the best outcomes for your clients.

Duties include:

  • Running a caseload under Sections 9A and 11 of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1985
  • Drafting letters of claim, reviewing evidence, and preparing cases for litigation
  • Managing negotiations, settlements, and court proceedings
  • Collaborating across legal teams and maintaining high client care standards
  • Using a case management system to handle volume litigation efficiently


What You'll Need

  • Proven Housing Disrepair experience is essential
  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable using case management systems (Proclaim or similar)
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and self-motivated
  • Backgrounds in PI or fast-track litigation will also be considered if you're open to retraining - with full support provided
