A well-established mutual insurer is seeking an experienced Pensions & Annuities Manager to lead the strategic development and management of their growing annuity portfolio on a contract basis.

The Role:

You'll take ownership of a significant book of business, driving profitability through pricing optimisation, reinsurance strategy, and new business initiatives across both individual and bulk purchase annuities. This is a genuinely strategic position where you'll shape product innovation, manage regulatory compliance, and collaborate closely with actuarial, underwriting, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of pensions and annuities strategy
Manage reinsurance arrangements and ensure effective capital management
Drive business growth whilst optimising the existing portfolio
Maintain regulatory compliance and stakeholder reporting

What You'll Need:

Proven experience managing pensions and annuity portfolios
Strong commercial acumen with pricing and profitability focus
Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and reinsurance
Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
Relevant professional qualifications (CII/actuarial) desirable
