As the business continues to grow, they are looking to appoint a Trading Underwriter with a specific focus on developing and strengthening relationships with key London Market brokers.
About the Company
This specialist MGA focuses on parametric flood insurance, offering clients fast and transparent payouts triggered by predefined parameters such as rainfall levels or water depth. Their innovative approach enables organisations to recover quickly from catastrophic flooding while improving resilience in an increasingly volatile climate environment.
The Role - Trading Underwriter
This is a market-facing role designed for someone who enjoys building broker relationships and driving growth. You will play a key part in expanding the MGA's presence within the London Market, working closely with leading brokers to develop new opportunities and deliver innovative flood risk solutions to their clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and develop strong relationships with key London Market brokers
- Drive new business opportunities and support the continued growth of the MGA
- Trade with brokers to structure and deliver parametric flood insurance solutions
- Work closely with internal underwriting, analytics and leadership teams
- Represent the business in the market, strengthening its reputation and visibility
- Support the ongoing development of innovative products within the parametric space
What We're Looking For
- Experience within underwriting, broking, or a market-facing insurance role
- Strong relationships or experience working with London Market brokers
- A commercial mindset with the ability to identify and develop new opportunities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Interest in parametric insurance, climate risk, or innovative insurance solutions
