Advice Operations Training Lead (L&D)

Job description

About the Role
A national wealth management and financial planning group, backed by a credible private equity investor, is looking for an experienced Advice Operations Training Lead to join their growing team. The firm is reshaping how financial advice is delivered - combining human insight, smart systems, and scalable processes.
This is a newly created, high-impact role aimed at developing and delivering training that elevates operational excellence, supports acquisitions, and enables growth through consistent, effective on-boarding and process adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver training programs on systems, processes, and operational best practices.
  • Lead on-boarding for new operations staff, particularly post-acquisition integration.
  • Maintain SOPs and training materials aligned with process updates.
  • Coach individuals and teams to drive consistent operational performance.
  • Work closely with the Technology Adoption and M&A teams to align training delivery with business transformation.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Distribution, Compliance, and Operations.

About You:

  • Experience in operations, training, coaching, or process improvement - ideally in Financial Services.
  • Confident designing and delivering training for both in-person and remote audiences.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment - including post-merger integrations.
  • Experience with CURO, Cashcalc, Dynamic Planner or other financial planning tech is a plus.
  • Familiarity with coaching methodologies or frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma) is desirable.

Why Join?

  • Be part of a fast-growing, forward-thinking advice group with national reach.
  • Play a critical role in shaping the operational training landscape for a new generation of Financial Planners.
  • Enjoy autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
  • Hybrid working with significant UK travel (circa 70%).
